We offer a variety of children’s programming throughout the year.
Story Time, 11 am on Fridays
For preschoolers, ages 3 – 5. Miss Susie incorporates literacy skills for preschoolers with singing, reading, listening, rhyming, playing and crafting. Socialization is also a key.
Story Time, 11 am on Saturdays
The Library is adding an additional story time to accommodate preschoolers who are unable to attend on weekdays. Designed for those that are attending Kindergarten in the fall of 2018, but any other preschoolers can also attend. It will be held every Saturday and will be run by the library staff.
Everett Community Room Activities
The Everett Community Room at the front of the library has many activities all the time. There are blocks, LEGOs, puzzles, games, manipulatives, and more. The only time these activities would not be available would be if an outside group had booked the room.
This 2 IPad station is designed to look like a Crayola crayon and is situated in the children’s section of the library. Our Interactive Education Station encourages individual learning and offers a ‘work at your own pace’ approach. The operation of the device maintains a speed that fits the needs of the user. This allows children to grow, develop, and problem solve at their own speed. This teaching and learning approach can offer a solid foundation for the cognitive development of children.
